"I Am Here For You"

Hello, I’m Michael Pellegrini, a qualified funeral and wedding celebrant. Trained and certified by the Academy of Professional Celebrants. That means I’ve had the best of training,I’m insured and support all groups of people.

I provide services and memorials in the Thanet, Herne Bay,Canterbury and surrounding areas. My work as a celebrant is to give you a service that will live long in the memory. Dignity, Honour, The Celebration of life and love.

I was born in Wembley, North West London and moved to Margate in 1974 when we opened our first hotel. I am married to Kerry and we have three adult children. Three grandchildren and have fostered over 130 children in the last 22 years.

I have been in the hotel and care home business for 40 years. There are many highs and lows in the care of others but the desire for the very best outcomes has been our driving force. Being able to do good for both the elderly and the young gives us immense pleasure. Listening to stories of yesteryear, taking the elderly on day trips, taking children on their first time abroad, their first ever football match, their first ever safe home are just a small part of what we do.

My sense of humour is a major asset. I love making people laugh and apparently I’m very good at it ! I will make every effort to give you the perfect ceremony.

My Journey

A life shaped by service, family, and meaningful connections

The Hotel Years

Hospitality

I spent many years in the hotel industry, where I learned the art of hospitality and the importance of making every guest feel valued. Whether it was a business traveller or a family on holiday, I discovered that small details make all the difference – a lesson I carry into every ceremony I create today.

130 Children

Empathy

Together with my wife, we welcomed over 130 children into our home as foster carers. Each child brought their own story, their own challenges, and their own gifts. This experience deepened my understanding of family in all its forms and taught me that love isn't bound by blood – it's built through patience, presence, and unconditional acceptance.

Ceremony

Passion

All these experiences led me to become a celebrant – a role that allows me to be present with people during life's most meaningful moments. Whether I'm helping a family say goodbye to a loved one or witnessing a couple declare their love, I bring the same warmth, empathy, and attention to detail that has guided me throughout my life.

My Philosophy

The principles that guide every ceremony I create

Dignity

Every person, every relationship, every moment deserves to be treated with the utmost respect and care.

Authenticity

Your ceremony should reflect who you truly are – not a template, but a genuine expression of your unique story.

Presence

I am fully present with you – listening, understanding, and supporting you through every step of the journey.

Let's Work Together

I'd love to hear about your occasion and discuss how I can help create a ceremony that truly honours your unique story.
